The "Take a Bow" music video was shot in Venice and was directed by Anthony Mandler who has directed several of her previous videos. It has so far spent 27 days on BET's 106 & Park, eight of the days spent at #1, it's also Rihanna's first #1 video on BET's 106 & Park. The video shows Rihanna throwing away her boyfriends memories after their break-up. Her boyfriend, who supposedly cheated on her pleads Rihanna to take him back. Rihanna, in order to teach him a final lesson, calls him to her home, and burns his stuff in front of him.
The video was nominated for Best Female Video and Best Direction at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. As of December 26,2008, the video has achieved over thirty-nine million views on Youtube.
